ELGI has managed to rise to the forefront of the highly competitive air compressor market. Over the past four decades, it has introduced numerous new models and technological innovations, including electronic compressors, and has established worldwide recognition as a manufacturer of excellence. Danfoss has been integral to achieving this. As a preferred supplier, Danfoss has provided ELGI with custom-built solutions such as temperature sensors with mating connectors and cables, as well as assisting ELGI with prototype testing.
Danfoss supplies a wide range of switches, transmitters and sensors to ELGI. Danfoss’ constant focus on quality and technical advancement has helped ELGI eliminate technical failures and guarantee an excellent price/performance ratio. Danfoss’ local warehousing has also ensured timely delivery and kept ELGI’s inventory to a minimum. As part of the relationship, Danfoss gives ELGI weekly stock updates to address any stock issues well in advance.
These advantages have encouraged ELGI to turn to Danfoss for further products, including solenoid valves and CS switches. And now, in order to achieve growth targets, ELGI is planning to set up a manufacturing unit in China and is investigating the potential synergies from both companies having production in the country.
