Optyma™ Plus: Low Noise Packaged Condensing Units Designed by Danfoss

Optyma™ Plus is a new weatherproof housed condensing unit range built with Danfoss quality components for guaranteed reliability. Main features are its extremely low noise operation, quick and easy installation, compact housing and the low energy consumption. Optyma™ Plus condensing units have been especially designed for outdoor use close to residential areas and are available for a large range of applications.

Optyma™ Plus packaged condensing units are a brand new product built with Danfoss quality components such as a Danfoss compressor, SGN sight glass, DML filter drier, 2 GBC shut off valves, magnetic contactor, convertible pressure control type KP17 WB suitable for both manual and auto settings on the HP side and XGE fan speed control. Designed for outdoor use, their main advantage is the low noise operation which is, among other reasons, due to an acoustic sound jacket. Optyma™ Plus units can therefore be installed close to residential areas without creating any nuisance.

Installers will particularly appreciate the quick and easy installation of the new Optyma™ Plus units. Being aware of the numerous constraints installers are facing during their daily work, Danfoss took great care to ease installation as much as possible. The units are small and compact and therefore easy to handle. The weather proof housing is extremely robust and can be easily removed for service work.

They fit into the smallest spaces but still leave enough room for the installer to access the components easily which aids considerably any service work. Commissioning is also optimized as the units come with a fully pre-wired electrical box IP54 and are supplied with all key components already fitted.

For end-users, as well as the low noise operation, the reduced energy consumption of the Optyma™ Plus packaged condensing units represents a great benefit, especially in terms of cost efficiency. For low temperature applications, the new design of the NTZ compressors provides optimum energy performance in refrigeration conditions and thus a higher COP than most of the competition. For medium temperature applications, high efficiency two cylinder compressors allow energy savings and an improved COP. Furthermore, all Optyma™ Plus units are equipped with a Danfoss Saginomiya fan speed control as standard. Fan cycling under low load conditions (for example at night) will thus be controlled which results in lower fan noise and improved energy consumption.

Optyma™ Plus condensing units are fully factory tested prior to dispatch to avoid any initial problems during start-up, due to faulty components. They are competitively priced which, combined with their high energy efficiency and high reliability makes them a very good option for installers and end users. A complete range of 14 models for MBP applications and 10 models for LBP applications (R404A) guarantees that all needs will be fulfilled without complicating the choice for installers and wholesalers. Optyma™ Plus units are compliant with EU regulations and bear the required CE label.
