Installation

Unless you are a professional and qualified to fit the complimentary replacement starting device supplied by Danfoss, we do not recommend that you fit it in your refrigerator or freezer yourself.

We recommend you seek the assistance of your nearest professional service technician. You may do this by looking up “Refrigeration” in your local Yellow Pages.
 
At this site, we offer the technical instructions that a professional service technician will require to fit the complimentary starting device on the side of Danfoss compressors in a refrigerator or freezer purchased before or in 1994. We recommend that you employ the services of a professional and do not fit the device yourself – unless you are a qualified to do so.
 
The box with the starter is pictured to the left on the side of the compressor.
 
The starting device that should be replaced to eliminate the potential risk of fire is pictured as white. It also comes in a black version.
