How to Check your Refrigerator or Freezer (Picture Sequence)

	Place the refrigerator so that you can see the compressor. This will be placed at the back near the bottom of your refrigerator or freezer. It may be placed behind a screen or cover that can be detached.

	This is the back of the refrigerator, including the black compressor in question.

	Look for a yellow label with the Danfoss name on it. This will if this compressor was produced by Danfoss.

	The Danfoss compressor could also look like pictured left with a plastic cap for the collection of condensed water. In this case, you should also be able to detect the yellow label described above.

	A third possibility is that you find two compressors in a combined refrigerator and freezer cabinet. Again, you will be able to identify the Danfoss compressor by the yellow label indicating that the compressor was produced by Danfoss.

Having established whether you have a Danfoss compressor in your refrigerator or freezer, you need to establish the approximate age of your refrigerator or freezer. If your appliance was bought in 1994 or before, we will offer to provide you with a replacement for the starter in the compressor. The new part must be fitted by a professional (a service technician). If you are not a professional service technician yourself, we ask that you request the service of your local domestic appliances shop with white goods such as washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators and freezers.
