SVL Flexline
SVL Flexline™ - Further Product Details
Next Generation Packing Gland
The new packing gland features static and dynamic sealing components that ensure a unique, tight and secure seal throughout the operating conditions covering all approved refrigerants and temperatures in the specification. As a result, the SVL delivers a smooth opening and closing operation, along with very high reliability.
New Names for the SVL Flexline™ Products
SVA-S and SVA-L:
are the new names for stop valves. S represents standard bonnet length and L represents long bonnet. These new valves will replace the current SVA-ST and SVA-HS.
REG-SA and REG-SB:
are the new hand regulation valves, where S indicates standard bonnet lengths and A or B represent the two cone types. These replace the existing REG valves.
SCA-X and CHV-X:
are the new names for stop/check and check valves. X represents standard type of spring. These replace the existing SCA and CHV valves.
FIA:
is an upgraded version of the existing version of the existing FIA (only on the new code numbers).
New Colour Coding
The SVL Flexline™ platform features coloured seal caps for easy identification of valve function. Red caps for standard and long neck SVA stop valves. Yellow caps for REG-S regulating valves and Green caps and markings for SCA-X stop check valves and CHV-X check valves. Matching colour of laser engraved aluminium name tag mounted on valve bonnet.
The new SVL Flexline™ is ready for sale as of 1st of May 2012. There will be a transition period where the existing line components will remain available. This transition period will be until September 2012 for SVA and October 2012 for the remaining line components. After this time the production of the existing line components will be discontinued.
Backward Compatibility
Most of the SVL Flexline™ bonnets (top parts) are backward compatible with housings of the existing line components. The below table illustrates the compatibility.
Examples:
Compatible:
Existing SVA-ST size 80:
Can be later exchanged into a SVA-S or SVA-L size 80 just by replacing the top part. It will fit in the existing SVA-ST housing.
Non-compatible:
Existing CHV size 15:
Can only be exchanged into a CHV-X size 15 by replacing the complete valve. The top part will not fit into the existing CHV housing.
