What about the fact that the uncontrolled phase always is “live” on the motor terminal box?
Answer: Even with the semiconductor switched off, it is possible to measure a voltage on the motor terminals. Therefore it would not make any difference if all three phases had been switched off. The situation is the same with all solid-state controllers and frequency converters. In order to work on the motor terminals, the control device (soft starter or contactor) must be switched off anyway, for example with a circuit breaker type CTI. This is also relevant for a contactor, even though the mains are isolated
Why is there a necessity for a fourth pole?
Answer: Most circuits have three phases. On some, usually smaller, systems, it is desired to break the neutral wire as well as the three “live” phases. Danfoss contactors provide this option up to and including CI 15.
Where can I find approvals and certificates for Danfoss products? E.g. do you have a PED certificate for KP7W?

What is difference between Icu and Ics marked on circuit breakers?
Answer: Icu is the ultimate short circuit breaking capacity in kA specified by manufacturer that circuit breaker can handle under circumstances specified in EN 60947-2, whilst Ics is the rated service short circuit breaking capacity in kA specified by manufacturer that circuit breaker can handle under circumstances specified in EN 60947-2.
What is the maximum current the CTI can interrupt?
Answer: All data is printed on the circuit breaker, including maxiumum breaking capacity. For details, please refer to the relevant technical brochure, available for download in our web product catalogue.
Are CTI 15 equal to CTI 25 in regard to electrical parameters?
Answer: The products have the same dimensions, accessories and most of the electrical parameters. Main differences CTI 15 vs CTI 25 are: No reset function, lower short-circuit breaking capacity and no marine approval available. For details, please see the technical brochure, available for download in our web product catalogue.
Can the CTI 15 circuit breaker operate at ambient temperature over 60 °C?
Where can I find some technical information about your products?
Does a thermal overload relay provide full protection of the motor?
Answer: A thermal overload relay equipped with bimetals is a relatively small, yet reliable appliance to protect electrical motors against:
–mechanical overload,
–asymmetrical operation,
–phase failure.
To provide protection against short circuit current you should use fuses.
For full protection of the motor, we recommend CTI circuit breakers.
Can a BBT 25 be used instead of CTT 25?
Can you recommend a replacement for a CTI 25 circuit breaker?
Can you send me literature, brochures or catalogues on your products?
I placed an order through e-commerce. Could you please check the delivery dates and inform me the earliest possible delivery?
