VLT® Drive Training – Harmonic Distortion & EMC (Level 2 - Intermediate)

This specialised course gives candidates an insight into the phenomenon of harmonics and the mitigation of its effect.  Candidates will also gain an insight into the phenomenon of Electro-Magnetic Compatability (EMC) and the mitigation of its effect.  It is a practical guide to design engineers; explaining the law, the standards and alternative mitigation techniques.

Duration:          1 Day
Prerequisite:     Attendees should have completed VLT® Drives Training (Level 1 - Basic)
Objective

To familiarise the attendee with the causes of harmonic disturbance, radio interference, common-mode noise and reflected wave; followed by the Danfoss solutions available to address / remedy these issues.

Who Should Attend

Anyone involved in design of systems with variable speed drives: Works Engineers, Building Consultants, HVAC systems builders, System Integrators, OEM’s designing VLT products into their products.
