These funds will be used to ensure that some of the wishes on the Nkosi’s Haven Wish List come true. Nkosi Johnson, who passed away from Aids at the tender age of 12 years old, said the following,
“Care for us and accept us - we are all human beings. We are normal. We have hands. We have feet. We can walk, we can talk, we have needs just like everyone else. Don’t be afraid of us - we are all the same.”
Nkosi’s Haven Foundation seeks to raise funds for, amongst others, the following primary objectives:
• Establishing, maintaining and sustaining communal environments for People living with Aids (PWA’s);
• Supporting beneficiary organisations such as the Nkosi’s Havens;
• Establishing educational and training trusts for PWAs; and
• Raising awareness of and destigmatising HIV/Aids in South Africa, and indeed the rest of the world.
