Bowl and Scroll Speed Adjustment

Functions: Bowl and Scroll Speed Adjustment

Description: The bowl and the scraper run with relative speeds a change in bowl speed would require a change in scraper speed. VLT® Drives operating the scraper (follower drive) will make this possible by communicating with the another VLT® (master drive) controlling bowl speed. In addition , the scraper speed can be controlled by taking a 4-20mA signal from the cake discharge quality monitoring device.

Applications: Centrifuge

Advantages:
  • Optimizes the bowl and scroll speeds according to sludge loading (flows & TS concentrations) rates and polymer dosages.
  • Provides a direct communication link between bowl and scroll with VLT® Drives will allow to optimization of their relative speeds accurately
  • Provides sufficient torque (upto 160%) at all times, especially during start/stop and high rotational speeds.
  • Prevents bowl vibrations that might occur at higher speeds by controlling the torque.
