Distribution of Water

Functions: Pressure monitoring

Description: In order to monitor and control the pressure in the distribution network a pressure transmitter can be used giving an analogue signal to the control system. Monitoring of the water pressure makes it possible to optimise the water pressure. In case of failures such as damaged pipes the pressure drop will be monitored immediately and a signal/alarm can be initiated.

Applications: Distribution of water

Advantages:

  • Able to reduce the water leakage by optimising the water pressure.
  • Reduced energy consumption with a lower pressure.
  • The use of drives and pressure transmitters makes it possible to maintain dual pressure set points (day & night) to reduce water leakages further at nights and procure energy savings.
