Deep Well Submersible Pumps

Description:
Deep well submersible pumps are used to pump water from underground in a borehole.

The applications utilised with a sub mersible pump covers among others:
  • Water supply
  • Irrigation
  • Mining industry
  • Fountains

The deep well pump is used to lift the water from under ground before further treatment, filtering and/or distribution.

The pump speed is controlled by a pressure transmitter, which is mounted above ground level. By running the pump at the lowest possible speed equivalent to the demand, the water draw from the well is distributed over longer periods, reducing the drawdown and the sedimentation of the well.

Applications: Pumping of groundwater

Advantages:
  • Process optimisation.
  • Stable water pressure.
  • Eliminates water hammer.
  • Reduced wear and tear on pumps and filters.
  • Eliminates frequent start and stop of pumps.
  • Full efficiency with no impeller reduction.
  • Reduced drawdown alone can save 15% energy.
