Fire protection with Sem-Safe® water mist
Due to their height and often remote locations protecting wind turbines against fires, or travelling to put them out, is very difficult. The Sem-Safe® water mist system is a superior fire fighting system compared to gas-based methods as it works in open areas and requires only small pipe dimensions.

If a fire breaks out the entire nacelle of the turbine is covered by a fine water mist that is ejected from a revolutionary nozzle system at a pressure of 100 bar. The mist evaporates quickly and extinguishes the fire by a combination of oxygen suppression and cooling.
