Case stories - Mobile and containerized applications

Danfoss APP pumps are particularly well suited for small and large-scale mobile and containerized applications due to the compact design which is the smallest in the RO market, as well as the extremely high efficiency.

- Small footprint, vertical or horizontal orientation, no belt drive: easy to fit into tight spaces.

- No need for oil lubrication, ever.

- 8,000 hours maintenance-free operation

- Whisper quiet and light in weight

- All pumps are ATEX approved

- Approved for NATO (N-cage) and specified by military organisations around the world.

US Navy shock test

In October 2008, one of our major clients was building a RO system that was going to be tested by the US Navy. As the system shall be used in military applications, there are severe demands to the robustness of the system, especially the individual components used in the system.

Danfoss APP pumps setting new standards for power consumption

One of the key arguments for making big central SWRO systems has always been the power consumption, and it has been a problem to make a high efficient SWRO system below the 2000 m3/h production of permeate. But with new technologies such as the Danfoss high-pressure APP pumps whether it is for small size-group (APP0.6 to APP3.5), medium size-group (APP5.1 to APP10.2) or big size –group (APP21 to APP30), these pumps will offer new possibilities for innovative system builders and end-users.   Like Al Najdain Co., an active water treatment company in UAE for small and medium-sized SWRO plants. Recently Al Najdain has commissioned a new 750 CMD SWRO plant, containerized type, using the combination of the two most energy efficient technologies available for high-pressure feed to the membrane: the Danfoss APP pumps and the ERI PX energy recovery device.

Pumps setting new standards for power consumption

Case study from Lanzarothe where the use of a pump from Danfoss has resulted in an overall power consumption as low as 2.65 kW/m3 fresh water production. Savings in running costs amount to no less than $ 2,800/year (article from Desalination & Water Reuse Vol. 13/1). Click on the link below to read the story.
