This year, half of Danfoss 2008 EnVisioneering Insights is dedicated to new codes, standards and legislation driving energy-related initiatives. The initiatives range from international and North American initiatives to European, U.S., state and city initiatives. Five pieces of legislation are highlighted, including the new energy bill that President Bush signed into law in December 2007.
The magazine also looks back at the 2007 EnVisioneering Symposia Series and the groundbreaking events held in Washington (twice) and Long Beach in North America. John Galyen, president of Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, North America, presents the top 10 “takeaways” from the six symposia events held in 2006 and 2007.
Danfoss 2008 EnVisioneering Insights also previews key dates, topics and locations for the 2008 EnVisioneering Symposia Series. This year, Danfoss is adding a series of “micro” events to its lineup of two national, “macro” symposia; one national event will be held in Washington on April 4, 2008 and the other in Carlsbad, California on November 7, 2008.
Danfoss launched the EnVisioneering Symposia Series in August 2006 to create an ongoing dialogue among industry, the policy community and thought leaders in research and development. The symposia have brought together experts from a variety of professional backgrounds – all with a vested interest in engineering, energy and environmental issues.
