Danfoss to Sponsor 2009 Alliance to Save Energy’s EE Global Forum & Exposition

09 February 2009
Forum agenda includes presentation by Danfoss CEO Niels B. Christiansen
Danfoss, a leading manufacturer of electronic and mechanical components and control systems for refrigeration and air-conditioning, heating, and motion controls, will be a sponsor of the 2009 Energy Efficiency Global Forum & Exposition April 27-29 at the Palais des Congres in Paris, France.

Hosted by the Alliance to Save Energy, EE Global is the only international event that focuses solely on energy efficiency from the perspective of all energy end-use sectors (buildings, industrial, transportation and consumer) and covers the cross-cutting issues of finance, policy, technology and market transformation. The forum also seeks to build strategic alliances among international governments, business and the public interest sector.

The 2009 event will examine energy efficiency as the quickest, cheapest and cleanest solution for addressing the world’s increasing energy demand and mitigating climate change. The format for EE Global allows for self-created agendas and networking opportunities through four plenary sessions and 24 concurrent executive dialogue sessions that feature industry leaders from around the globe, including Niels B. Christiansen, executive president and chief executive officer of Danfoss.

“Mr. Christiansen’s participation in the 2009 Energy Efficiency Global Forum and Danfoss’ sponsorship of the event underscore the Danfoss commitment to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility,” said Robert Wilkins, president of Danfoss in North America. “Much like the Danfoss EnVisioneeringSM Symposium Series, the Energy Efficiency Global Forum represents a tremendous opportunity for industries and governments worldwide to work together and deliver energy efficiencies that ensure both energy security and a sustainable future.”

The inaugural EE Global was held in Washington, D.C., in 2007 and drew more than 850 exhibitors, speakers, media and attendees representing 32 countries.

“Sponsors like Danfoss, a leader in energy efficient solutions, are critical to the success of our 2009 Energy Efficiency Global Forum,” noted Alliance President Kateri Callahan. “Danfoss’ expertise in developing and delivering energy-efficient solutions will help to attract participants, forge partnerships and encourage the development of best practices, policies and strategies for global implementation.”
