Danfoss CEO Addresses Role of Business for Growing Economies in a Carbon Constrained Environment at 2009 Energy Efficiency Global Forum

27 April 2009
Business leaders, policy makers and institutions are deeply focused on economic stimulus, climate change, and energy efficiency. Energy efficiency is the driving factor in this equation because it creates business opportunities while reducing carbon footprint.

Danfoss CEO, Niels Bjorn Christiansen, is industry co-host at the Alliance to Save Energy’s Energy Efficiency Global Forum taking place April 27-29 in Paris where he and other global business leaders and dignitaries will explore the new energy paradigm from economic stimulus funding in the U.S. to new government mandates in Europe to the potential role of energy efficiency in the climate negotiations scheduled for the Climate Conference in Copenhagen in December 2009.

The Energy Efficiency Global Forum is the only international forum focused solely on energy efficiency from the perspective of all energy end-use sectors (buildings, industrial and transportation) and with coverage of all transverse issues – finance, policy, technology, and market transformation.

Christiansen will also be part of a panel discussion at the Energy Efficiency Global Forum to address the crucial dilemma of growing economies in a carbon constrained environment. He will address the issue from the perspective of specific initiatives Danfoss has implemented to reduce energy consumptions, water, and emissions in its worldwide factories. He will also focus on the company’s investment in renewable energy and product innovation to help its customers employ more energy efficient solutions.

Details of the presentation:
When: April 28, 2009 at 8:30 am.
Where: Palais des Congres, Paris, France
