Play it Cool

09 February 2007
Installers in countries as diverse as Estonia, Columbia, Morocco and New Zealand have found a new way to compete: they challenge each other’s technical knowledge of refrigeration via the internet.
The game is called Cool Game and is made by Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Condition’s Education and Training department. The online game offers challenging technical tasks where the players build advanced refrigeration systems, such as capillary tube systems, with different components as fast as possible.

Stephan Bachmann, internal technical support in Offenbach, Germany, made the concept and conceived ther efrigeration circuits for the second version of Cool Game, which was introduced at the IKK fair in Nuremburg, Germany in October 2006.

Stephan, who offers technical support for refrigeration systems and components to customers and salespeople, says: “It was fun to create something completely new. We had a good team that worked together perfectly. Our vision is to bring refrigeration knowledge to people in the way they love.”

Currently, 507 users are registered. Cool Game II is available on Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Condition’s homepage.
