Danfoss Scroll Technologies recently awarded a $17,000 grant to the Clark County Child Care Center in Arkadelphia, Ark. Located in Clark County Industrial Park, the center provides care for children in the surrounding community, including those of Danfoss employees who work in the industrial park.
In presenting the gift to the center, Al Holewinski, general manager of Danfoss Scroll Technologies, said, “Danfoss is committed to the welfare of its employees and the success of Clark County and the Arkadelphia community. By making this gift to the Clark County Child Care Center, the company is able to support the community and provide peace of mind to the Danfoss employees who have expressed a need for quality child care close to their place of work.”
The grant will be used for playground equipment at the recently dedicated center and is a joint contribution made by Danfoss Scroll Technologies and the Fabrikant Mads Clausen Foundation. Established in 1960 by Danfoss founder Mads Clausen, the foundation formalized Clausen’s lengthy history of charitable giving and today provides charitable financial support for education and research at scientific institutions, schools, colleges, libraries, charitable associations and institutions. The foundation also provides support to other non-profit organizations at the recommendation of the foundation’s board of directors.
