New Compressors from Danfoss Turbocor Increase Energy Efficiency and Promote Environmental Responsibility

07 February 2011
Latest models added to the TT compressor series support improved efficiencies in air-cooled and water-cooled chiller applications
Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc. today announced the pre-release of the new TT400 380V 50Hz and 60Hz, and the commercial availability of TT350 and TT500 compressors.

Similar to other TT series compressors, the TT400 380V 50Hz and 60Hz models are oil-free, variable-speed, magnetic-bearing centrifugal compressors. Using HFC-134a refrigerant for optimum environmental position, the compressors deliver outstanding part-load and full-load efficiencies with a small footprint. The lightweight, soft-starting compressors also feature low vibration, exceptionally quiet operation and intelligent controls.

The TT400 380V 50Hz and 60Hz models were designed to expand the product portfolio and provide energy-efficient HVAC compressors to high-growth markets such as China.

Available in 400V and 460V versions, the TT350 compressor offers a higher pressure ratio limit, which makes it suitable for both air-cooled and water-cooled chiller applications.

“The air-cooled chiller market is increasingly focused on energy efficiency performance, and the TT350 compressor can offer the building owner a significant improvement over other available technologies,” said Jose Alvares, director of product management for Danfoss Turbocor.

The TT500 compressor expands the portfolio range for water-cooled applications. The compressor is currently available in 460V models, and a 400V version will be released in the coming months.
