Danfoss Turbocor Expands Product Range with Larger-Capacity Equipment

13 February 2009
Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc., a joint venture between Danfoss Inc. and Turbocor, announces the expansion of its line of oil-free centrifugal compressors specifically designed for the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry. The new compressors include larger-capacity equipment and increase the range of applications for the compressors.
Developed in response to the growing demand for Turbocor products, the new TT500 is the largest-capacity machine in the Turbocor product line. The compressor delivers nominal 210 tons (700 kW) of cooling capacity and, like the TT300 and TT400, is predominantly designed for chiller applications.

Also new, the TT350 was developed for higher pressure ratios, specifically in air-cooled applications. This machine has a nominal cooling capacity of 120 tons (400 kW) and shares the same footprint as the TT300, TT400 and the new TT500.

“We are pleased to introduce these outstanding additions to the Danfoss Turbocor product line,” says Dan Mason, director of sales, North America/Australia, Danfoss Turbocor Compressors. “Both the TT500 and the TT350 promise the energy efficiency, reduced maintenance and high-performance features that have earned other products in the line important recognition, including the Frost & Sullivan Award for Compressor Technology Leadership, the U.S. EPA Climate Protection Award, the ASHRAE/AHR Expo’s Energy Innovation Award and the Canadian Energy Efficiency Award.”
