Combating salt spray and harsh conditions
Featuring stainless steel shafts and self-lubricating bronze bearings, the wipers are renowned for excellent performance in the rough conditions often experienced at sea. But no wiper system is complete without an efficient water pump system – and no water pump system is complete without a reliable solenoid valve. So when Exalto sought a new valve supplier, Danfoss came onboard.
Exalto wiper systems consist of wiper motors, blades, pantograph arms, and a wiper washing system. Since 2005, Danfoss solenoid valves have been part of all Exalto water pump systems. The valve functions as a sprinkler, pumping water from the wiper reservoir, a separate pump or from the fresh water supply onboard. At the touch of a switch, the valve sprays water directly onto the window to wash away salt spray, dirt and grime – keeping marine windows clean and clear.
Compact and easy to install, Danfoss solenoid valves are the perfect solution for applications where space is limited. And the valve coils are available in either 24 or 12 volt direct current versions for the marine industry, or as alternating current versions to suit a variety of applications in other industries.
