Danfoss EV220B solenoid valve

The Danfoss solenoid valve – a consistent performer and a favorite among wholesalers

30 May 2007
At Danfoss, we pride ourselves on making products that bring customers both innovation and exceptional reliability. We have a lot of unsung heroes – products that consistently perform beyond our customers’ expectations. Take for example the EV220B 15-50 range of solenoid valves. One of our workhorses, the EV220B has long proved a hit with wholesalers who appreciate its unrivalled reliability and extremely low maintenance costs.

Simply the most reliable performer on the market

Simply the most reliable performer on the market
The Danfoss EV220B 15-50 series of solenoid valves keeps on performing year-in-year-out. It delivers exceptional stability and has a wide range of applications, including:
• Heating and sanitary systems
• Clean water supply
• Safety systems
• Irrigation systems
• Cooling systems – water, brine
• Laundry and washing machines
• Compressor applications (air and gas supply)
• Water treatment

A perfect example of Danfoss’ commitment to reliability, it has remained popular with wholesalers for many years. So what makes it so good?

The answer lies in the numerous advantages packed into its robust design. Solenoid valves can be susceptible to water hammer – a pressure surge that damages the pipe and other machine parts. But the EV220B’s moulded diaphragm and adjustable closing speed reduces water hammer, eliminating noise and protecting other system parts from wear. Its self-cleaning filter stops dirt from entering the system, further increasing working life and cutting maintenance costs.
The EV220B is flexible when it comes to applications
The EV220B is also very flexible. The range comes in three different materials with three different seal types, and uses coils from IP00 to IP67 – so you can select the exact valve for your project. It can be used for hot water and low pressure steam (4 bar) up to 140° C and the seal rubber remains malleable at -30° C. Thanks to a reinforced diaphragm, it offers great performance at both high and low pressure. The diaphragm has a built in o-ring, ensuring leak-free performance even at high temperatures. With these benefits, it’s no wonder wholesalers keep coming back for more.
