Danfoss, a global leader in providing sustainable, energy-efficient solutions for refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and motion controls, has launched a new online scroll compressor tool for its customers -- Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), contractors and installers.
The interactive tool, available at www.danfoss.us/ScrollCompressorTool helps customers analyze opportunities to make equipment, products and installations more competitive by using Danfoss scroll compressor technology. What’s more, the tool provides technical and application information and allows customers to track industry trends by completing a brief online questionnaire. Questions range from refrigerant usage to compressor technology applications.
“We wanted to reach a broad range of customers with this innovative online tool,” said Jan Petersen, marketing manager for Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, North America. “The tool allows customers to see what their industry colleagues are thinking and doing. In that sense, it’s an excellent knowledge base.”
The tool provides recommendations for specifying compressors for a variety of applications, including heat pumps and pool heaters, milk tanks, air driers, chillers and processing cooling, walk-in freezers and cold rooms, air conditioning and refrigeration.
Petersen noted that each application has different requirements. For example, energy efficiency is one of the most important considerations in chillers and process cooling. Due to its enhanced motor design and optimized scroll design, the Danfoss scroll compressor can significantly reduce energy consumption and operating cost with an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) up to 11.15. Dependability and trouble-free service are also important considerations in chillers and process cooling.
“Our goal is to help customers optimize their HVAC&R systems,” Petersen said. “The online tool will help them find the best compressor solution for their business and application.”
