The combination of an energy efficient motor and a specially designed high volume ratio hybrid scroll wrap optimized for refrigeration applications, delivers the highest efficiency in fixed speed, normal operation. In low ambient conditions, the operating envelope has been extended down to 100 C / 500 F, allowing floating condensing pressure, again improving efficiency. For those ‘refrigeration events, (where conditions are changing), the Danfoss patented AdaptiveControl axial compliant scroll design insures maximum efficiency over varying conditions.

Reliability is built into to this compressor family, from the self-aligning, compliant scroll design to the carbon bearings, to the reduced complexity manufacturing process (30% fewer parts). In addition, the patented HOOP overload protection design insures excellent motor protection while eliminating nuisance trips.

The MLZ Scroll compressor is quiet by design: The basic scroll’s smooth continuous compression, the elimination of the suction and discharge valves, and the unique disc check valve design insures quiet, vibration free operation.
