OPTYMA high efficiency condensing units from Danfoss are a complete range, covering every step in capacity from 1/5 to 13½ HP. The OPTYMA design is so efficient that for each given capacity, a smaller compressor can be used than in conventional units, resulting in less operating cost. The condensing unit design also ensures a wider operating envelope, especially in high ambient conditions.
OPTYMA condensing units are used in applications ranging from commercial refrigeration to small appliances. An extensive array of options is available to meet OEM and aftermarket requirements. The range includes models suitable for all common fluorinated refrigerants.
On Optyma units of greater than 1 hp capacity, a crankcase heater and dual pressure control are standard. All units have service ports; service valves are standard on all aftermarket versions and on OEM units over 1 hp.
"We gave this line the OPTYMA name because we've designed durability and efficiency into the product resulting in optimum reliability," said Jeff Douglas, VP, Aftermarket at Danfoss in Baltimore. "Most importantly, we've optimized life cycle cost by achieving a high degree of energy efficiency, installation simplicity, and easy maintenance. OPTYMA is also the most complete range of capacities available from a single source."
