”We are implementing the first elements of a new strategy that is set to secure Danfoss’ competitiveness through an unambiguous focus on our core businesses,” says President and CEO Niels B. Christiansen. “At the same time we are intensifying our efforts to reduce our debt and strengthen our ability to act as quickly as possible. The alteration of the group’s top management is an important step in this process.”
Nis Storgaard, 59, has been the Divisional President of the Danfoss Heating Division. He will remain in that role until the turn of the year in parallel with his new duties as CDO. His new responsibilities include a number of business areas in the Danfoss Group that are being restructured, or are set to undergo restructuring, with the purpose of divestment, reorganisation or alliance-making with external partners. These business areas are: Danfoss Household Compressors, Danfoss Appliance Controls and Danfoss Water Controls. These business units will be transferred from the three divisions during the fourth quarter to allow them to fully concentrate on defending and enhancing Danfoss’ market shares and forward-looking initiatives. Nis Storgaard will also be in charge of Danfoss Global Services, Danfoss’ central HR function, Danfoss High Pressure Systems, Danfoss Ventures and associated companies, as well as Danfoss’ central strategy function.
Per Have, 52, will take over responsibility for the group’s central finance and accounting functions. He will report directly to President and CEO Niels B. Christiansen. In parallel with his job as the CFO in the Danfoss Group, Per Have will continue his work as the President of the Bitten and Mads Clausen Foundation. Frederik Lotz, who was the CFO and a member of the Executive Committee for three years, has accepted an offer to become the new Finance Director at Arla Foods, which is why he is leaving the Danfoss Group.
