Danfoss makes valve selection easy with online and mobile tool

12 March 2012
With just a few clicks, Danfoss’ valve selector helps you find the right solenoid valve and coil for standard applications.

Danfoss’ web-based valve selector tool takes the guesswork out of choosing the right solenoid valve and coil for your application. Launched in June 2011, the selector is designed to help wholesalers, installers and end-users configure their valve needs. Available in 16 languages, with Swedish, Korean and Spanish to launch soon, the valve selector can be accessed online or from web-enabled mobile phones.

Five easy steps

By selecting the medium, system, function, connection size and coil voltage of the application from five drop down menus, the valve selector will recommend a valve and a coil from the Danfoss product portfolio. The result can then be emailed, sent as a text message or printed. And clicking on the ‘Where to buy’ function displays a map with a list of distributors, so it’s easy to find the nearest Danfoss dealer in your region.

To date, the valve selector has helped a number of Danfoss customers around the world select the correct solenoid valve for their particular needs. And because it’s proving so popular, plans are currently underway to launch a pressure switch selector in April.

However, for OEM customers, who typically need valves tailored to their application, Danfoss recommends talking directly to your Danfoss dealer.
