Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Training Centre Opens in China

07 February 2007
Employees and customers in the Asian/Pacific region can now gain better knowledge of Danfoss and its products at the new training centre that welcomed its first students in October.
What goes where? What does this product do? How does a refrigeration system work? These questions and more have become easier to answer after the opening of the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning training centre in China on October 26.

Since then, more than 122 Danfoss employees and customers have received training in Danfoss related subjects, such as an introduction to Danfoss and the Asian/Pacific region, product knowledge, application know-how and other technical skills related to refrigeration technology.

Located on the ground floor of the Wuqing factory, the 144 square metre facility makes it easier than ever to offer hands-on practical and theoretical training for Danfoss employees and customers.

“This is possibly the largest training facility in China. It makes Danfoss stand out from the competition and proves that we have firmly consolidated our position in China with factories, labs, development and training in one location,” says Singapore-based Application Manager Scott Moorhouse. Scott helped plan the new facility, which will attract people from the whole of the region.

Heying Yuan (Tracy) takes care of the daily running of the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning training centre and she says she looks forward to developing the centre in the future.

“The creation of this centre went well and we are very happy with the way things have gone up until now. The feedback after the first courses has been good and we are enjoying the support of our colleagues. In the years to come, we will expand our range of courses to include more technically advanced topics,” she says.

Li Shaoping, head of Asian/Pacific marketing:

“The new centre is valuable for employees, customers and Danfoss’ image in the region. It
shows Danfoss’ commitment to China. By being able to provide a thorough introduction to Danfoss and our products, we also hope to attract the best employees, customers and university graduates.”

Hao Jie (Robert), sales Refrigeration & Air Conditioning - Commercial Refrigeration OEM's:

“I was a coach on the introduction to Danfoss course and a student on the basic skills course, which provides lots of application knowledge that is easy to understand. The lab,
product line and return compressors analysis particularly impressed me. I am sure that this will improve my ability to serve customers.”

Meng Binbin (Grace), strategic marketing Refrigeration & Air Conditioning - Food Retail:

“I attended the Asian/Pacific Core Training Level 1 course. In order to work efficiently, I need to review my refrigeration knowledge and gain extensive knowledge of products across
both business areas and product lines. This course gave me the best training I have ever had because it covered almost all RA products and included hands-on experience of refrigeration systems.”
