New Features Offer Greater Flexibility
With a wide range of programmable controllers and programme options, Danfoss’ continually expanding MCX range offers great functionality and reliability. Designed for optimal performance, the MCX’s modular design can be expanded with the EXC expansion controls. The option to connect the EXC expansion modules to a CANbus network makes the MCX truly flexible. Added programmability makes it possible to find the programming solution that best suits your needs, while the open structure of the ACC accessory controls simplify connectivity with other standard communication protocols in the HVAC/R and industrial automation markets. And with an easy-to-use remote user interface, it’s easy to programme the entire system’s function using the MMI controls.
The latest additions to the MCX programmable controls, the MCX061V and the LCX06C, bring even more flexibility to the strong MCX portfolio. The MCX061V has a memory card slot to make software downloads easy, as well as data logging functions. Even more, an Ethernet connection, gives access to control data and web server functionalities.
MCX061V – For Maximum Performance
With an integrated superheat control algorithm, the MCX061V can also be used with a range of superheat sensor types, which makes cheaper sensors an option. The seamlessly integrated electronic expansion valve driver ensures maximum performance, while the 110-230 Vac power supply makes a transformer unnecessary. And with stable input signals, the possibility to count fast impulses for encoders or perform air speed readings, and better control performance in terms of precision and tracking response, the MCX061V is the ideal controller for heat pumps, chillers, precision air conditioners and cold rooms with one refrigeration circuit.
LCX06C – Small Unit, Great Control
The smallest controller in the range, the 32x74mm LCX06C is suitable for stand-alone applications, such as small chillers, heat pumps, and AHU and thermoregulation units. Like other controllers in the MCX range, it’s programmable, so can be used in a wide range of applications, providing the number and I/O type is compatible. Modbus RS485 serial communication is also an option and the MYK programming tool makes it easy to select and download software. With the LCX06C’s programmability, OEMs can add special functions to the standard application software, or write new software in the C++ standard programming language. This means OEMs need only one software package for their entire machine range and can apply their in-house knowledge to even the smallest of units.
