Danfoss Completes Product Range with Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers

In September 2006, Danfoss acquired Qinbao, a Chinese manufacturer of brazed plate heat exchangers located in Hangzhou, close to Shanghai. With 80 employees, Qinbao has acquired 40 years of experience developing, manufacturing and distributing brazed plate heat exchangers for all HVAC applications including heat pumps.

Especially designed for all types of commercial and industrial refrigeration, cooling and air conditioning applications, our brand-new product range of brazed plate heat exchangers offers you a whole new level of performance and cost-effectiveness. Less space and weight , wide range of sizes and cooling capacities, high heat transfer surface, great versatility, available for high-viscosity fluids and low energy consumption are just a few of the many items on its benefits list.

Providing the ability to remove and transfer heat from one medium to another, brazed plate heat exchangers are
a cost-saving alternative to conventional condensers and evaporators as they provide superior heat transfer. Suitable for all existing refrigerants, they contribute to a reduced refrigerant volume in the system.

Widely used by large OEMs in Asia and already selected by large OEMs in Europe, Danfoss Qinbao has developed a unique and patented solution to provide high efficiency with low pressure drop with an innovative plate type frame and optimal distributor.

These multiple features facilitate integration of Danfoss brazed plate heat exchangers into existing systems.

Brazed plate heat exchangers are available with different types of channel plate, which are responsible for the thermal characteristics of the heat exchanger. The H-type plate has obtuse angles which result in higher heat transfer efficiency by increasing the turbulence of the fluid. The L-type plate has acute angles which reduces the pressure drop . The M-type plate is a combination of L and H plates. This can be used for applications where the temperature change on one side of the brazed plate heat exchanger is much larger than the other.

In order to secure flexible and fast deliveries in Europe, Middle East and Africa, a central stock for Qinbao brazed plate heat exchangers has been set up in Europe.
