BCP pressure switch for boiler control

New BCP switches ensure failsafe boiler control

09 March 2007
Danfoss’ new Boiler Control Pressure (BCP) switch series is an important addition to our range of products for commercial or light industrial steam and hot water boiler applications.

Using cutting-edge technology to deliver unrivalled reliability

Based on the latest technology, Danfoss’ pressure controls set a new standard in reliability, boasting a long operating lifetime and low maintenance requirements. In addition to seven different types of pressure controllers, the new BCP series also features high and low pressure limiters: devices with manual resets that interrupt and lock out the energy supply when pre-specified pressure values are reached. And the limiters’ control and safety aspects are just some of the benefits of the cutting-edge designs.

The BCP’s innovative features include failsafe bellows, manual or automatic reset options, and an SPDT contact system based on a microswitch. The plug-and-play, DIN 43650-A-compliant electrical connections on top of the pressure controls meet the industry requirements. A newly added functionality allows the pressure controls to be mounted directly onto the pressure connection. The series’ wider pressure range – from 0 to 40 bar – make it versatile and suitable for most boiler applications.

The new range will be generally available from May but trials with certain customers have produced very favourable results already, backing up the outstanding results achieved under laboratory conditions by the Danfoss development team
