Logistic System enables improved communication and planning
Meeting customer demand in a fast-paced market is always a challenge. Pressure sensors from Danfoss Industrial Automation are critical components in water pumps, air compressors, and hydraulic machinery produced by manufacturers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMA). That’s why we’ve looked at logistics in order to improve customer service through increased reliability of deliveries.
Sales have been good over the past year, but that has also placed demands on production, particularly when it comes to our more popular products. As a result, we’ve started to categorise our products via our Logistic System, allowing us to build up stock of more popular items and build to order other items.
Information on what customers are purchasing comes from our sales team, who then pass on the information to our logistics team, who then categorise items and coordinate with our production and business teams to make sure that customers receive our products on time. By increasing production capacity for high-demand items, we are able to build up stock and ensure reliable delivery to our customers.
The key factors for successful implementation are teamwork, communication, and our Logistic System, which provides transparency throughout the organisation.
By allowing us to categorise our products according to market demand and thereby increase production capacity for high-demand items, our Logistic System is at the centre of our efforts to ensure reliable deliveries and meet the needs of our customers.
