Danfoss MBV 5000 Pressure Test Block Valve

Danfoss’ new MBV 5000 Pressure Test Block Valve – our best yet

01 June 2007
We’ve redesigned our MBV 5000 Pressure Test Block to handle the toughest pressure situations you can imagine. And with our new, streamlined production line in Poland you’ll benefit from improved product availability and even faster delivery.

Technical excellence for high-pressure applications

The benefits of the new MBV start with a 50 percent increase in the upper limit of allowable working pressures – from 120 to 180 bars, and an almost threefold increase in burst pressure from 250 to 720 bars – making them strong enough to withstand even the most extreme conditions.

The valves also offer:

  • G1/4 pressure inputs on the bottom
  • Flange connections on the top, for simple connection to other Danfoss pressure switches or transmitters
  • A shut-off valve so you can exchange pressure switches and transmitters without stopping the plant or handling any piping
  • Capability for up to five inputs and outputs
  • A Minimess connection that lets you attach monitoring devices (such as pressure gauges) without disturbing normal operations. The connection can also be used to set or check snap points for attached pressure switches
  • The ability to handle different internal input to output connections
  • Versatility, so you can tailor the setup to your needs
Our factory now handles both product development and production, enabling us to develop new designs and customise products in a shorter timeframe. And with a more efficient logistics setup and better co-ordination of our sub-suppliers, we’ve improved product availability and significantly cut delivery time for MBVs.
99.5 percent of the materials used in our new MBVs can be recycled
We have a reputation for being committed to the environment. And that hasn’t changed. In fact, 99.5 percent of the materials used in our new MBVs can be recycled. Our experienced engineers make sure that only the safest materials are used in our production process and valves, ensuring we stay compliant with EU legislation on the use of hazardous substances.

Even with so many changes, some important things remain the same. Along with the trademark Danfoss reliability, we’ve kept the same physical dimensions and code numbers for the valves. So you won’t have any problems in making the switch to the new version of the MBV.
