The right product, local presence and excellent customer service are key
Argentine premium coffee importer AYBG is a relatively new company, founded in 2004. It imports coffee, blends it, and exports it to foreign markets, including the US and EU. AYBG recently began manufacturing high-quality coffee machines and began to export these as well.
Existing regulations in the US and new regulations in the EU require that all parts touching the coffee or water must be made of stainless steel, including valves.
AYGB approached local and international manufacturers but could not get the combination of product, service, and support flexibility that they needed.
So AYGB turned to Danfoss Industrial Automation, which not only had the right 3/2-way stainless steel valves used in the coffee machines, but also had a local presence to provide the support that a dynamic, growing company needs. AYBG sees Danfoss as a focused partner. The communication is good between the two companies, and they have common short-term and long-term objectives.
The coffee machine uses three of the valves per unit, and AYGB’s orders have meant an increase in production for this special type of valve. Danfoss Argentina proved to be open to customer needs, and managed the supply chain so that the crucial initial orders were delivered to AYGB’s satisfaction. In fact, having the right product, the right quality and a local presence has led to AYGB looking to incorporate more of Danfoss’ components in future models.
