Industrial Automation takes stock and plans for the future
It’s a long way from the hectic buzz of Shanghai to the green pastures on the outskirts of Nordborg in Denmark. Noel Ryan has successfully made the transition from Head of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Asia Pacific – and has quickly settled into his new job as Global Vice President of Industrial Automation.
During the last six months, Noel and his team have spent a lot of time revising strategy. Using input from our customers a strategy has been developed that will focus even more on customer needs
Danfoss Industrial Automation (IA) now has three key business areas - Air systems, Mobile Hydraulics and Marine & Power Generation. Investments will be made in these areas to strengthen and develop them even further. Other business areas - mainly distribution and regional OEMs – will also see increased sales activities.
This year has seen solid growth and an increase in market share, particularly in the Hydraulics, Marine and Air Systems business areas where growth is in the high twenties. Noel estimates that overall, they will end the year with a growth rate of 15-16 per cent over last year
It looks like 2008 will be a busy year for Noel and IA. It’s Danfoss’ 75th anniversary – which will involve some celebration – but also a time for hard work. Customers can look forward to dealing with a high performance partner with a renewed focus on customer requirements.
We look forward to dealing with you again in 2008.
