Danfoss main sponsor for Climate Consortium Denmark

23 March 2009
Danfoss is the main sponsor for Climate Consortium Denmark - the official focal point for all Danish business-related activities leading up to the UN Climate Change Conference.

Climate Consortium Denmark
Climate Consortium Denmark is a public-private sector partnership. It is established in order to strengthen the awareness of the competences and solutions of Danish businesses, industries and universities in the clean-tech area, nationally as well as internationally.
Two main purposes:
1: To create awareness of Danish climate solutions and technologies. Danish businesses, industries and universities offer strong competences and innovative solutions to the climate challenge, and it is the aim of the Climate Consortium to spread this message in Denmark and to the rest of the world.
2: To provide an overview and coordinate all business-related activities taking place from now and up to the UN Climate change conference COP15 Copenhagen in December 2009.

Long-term objective
The long-term objective of Climate Consortium Denmark is to increase Danish clean-tech exports in order to attract investment, labour, scientists and students from the climate and energy technology area.
The founders of the Consortium are: The Marketing Denmark Fund, the Confederation of Danish Industry, the Danish Construction Association, the Danish Energy Association, the Agricultural Council of Denmark and the Danish Wind Industry Association.

Royal support
H.R.H. Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark will, as the patron of Climate Consortium Denmark, play an active part in the work of the Consortium.

Activities
Because of its engagement in creating a sustainable environment, Danfoss will exhibit statements and position itself as part of the climate solution at the Bright Green conference in December, 2nd - 3rd in Copenhagen, and also participate in the Energymap portal, presenting participants, events, projects etc. up to the UN Climate Conference COP15 in December.
