Ravichandran Purushothaman - known as Ravi - says about the prizes: "I am honored to receive such distinction which is a tribute to all our employees. Danfoss is not only what it is today due to the strengths of our products and services, but also because of our core values which include all our employees across the globe and which respect local cultures and are committed to the environment and social responsibility".
The prizes are awarded to leading Indian managers for their excellence and contributions to economic development issues once every year. Ravi has been working together with Indian industry bodies in promoting awareness of energy saving, green buildings, CO2 reduction and preserving the planet for the next generation for the last four years.
The prizes were presented to Danfoss in the presence of Mr Bhandare, Honourable Governor of Orissa, Dr Bishma Narain Singh, former Governor of TN and Eastern states and Mr GVG Krishnamurthy, former chief election commissioner of India in a very formal ceremony at a function held in Delhi on October 16, 2007.
