Kjeld Stærk, aged 48, will become President of Danfoss Services on May 1. Together with the Executive Committee and the three divisional presidents, he will ensure the coordination of measures implemented across the Group and the implementation of initiatives which will strengthen Danfoss as a whole. He will be divisional president and all of the Group’s service units will report to him. These units are: Danfoss Global Business Services, Danfoss Industri Service, Danfoss Group Procurement and Danfoss Business System. Kjeld Stærk, who has been the Senior Vice President at Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Division in charge of Danfoss Automatic Controls since January 2006, qualified as production engineer at Odense Engineering College in 1983. In the same year, he was appointed rotational engineer at Danfoss in Nordborg. Following a brief period at Danfoss in Canada, he returned to the then Automation Division (AC) in Nordborg in 1985, heading production planning. From 1988 to 1990, he was production manager at the Drives Division in the USA. Over the following years, he alternated working as a quality manager for the Flow Division – which included a six-month period in England – with working as a logistics manager for the Automation Division. In 1992, Kjeld Stærk was appointed plant manager and in 1998 he became business manager of Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Controls, which included factories in Mexico, China and Nordborg. In 2001, Kjeld Stærk was appointed Vice President and from 2004 to 2006 he was the Sales President of the Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Division in North and South America.
Ole Daugbjerg, aged 44, has been appointed to a recently established position as Chief of Staff – where he will be charged with ensuring there are formal leadership structures, cooperation between the managerial functions, and effective relations with the Board and owners. He will be responsible for a number of corporate functions, including communications, branding, corporate citizenship, corporate marketing, the legal department and the Group’s strategy function. EICF (European Information and Consultation Forum) will also be part of Ole Daugbjerg’s responsibilities. Ole Daugbjerg, who is a qualified journalist from the Danish School of Journalism and has also completed the Senior Executive Programme at the London Business School, was appointed Vice President Corporate Communications at Danfoss in 2000. Before Ole Daugbjerg joined Danfoss, he was president and senior partner at ABC Public Relations A/S, one of Denmark’s leading firms within communications and public relations. In January 2006, Ole Daugbjerg was appointed Senior Vice President in charge of the Danfoss Group’s internal and external communications, branding, environmental reporting and social responsibility. He is also the secretary of the Board of Danfoss A/S and the Bitten and Mads Clausen Foundation.
