Necos, based in Treviso, near Venice, Italy, was founded in 2004 and has 15 employees. The company’s products are based on an open programming platform that offers customers a high-quality, customisable and flexible solution for use in a wide range of HVAC/R and Industrial Automation applications.
Senior Vice President Kjeld Kückelhahn, Danfoss Electronic Controls & Sensors, says that the joint venture will expand Danfoss' already strong product range of controls for customers within air conditioning.
He says: “This is in line with our commitment to focus on the needs of our customers by offering a broad product range, as well as developing innovative solutions for the control and management of HVAC/R units and systems."
Managing Director of Necos, Mauro Sordini, is also pleased with the joint venture agreement.
He says: “I consider our company to be a laboratory of ideas, innovation and development. Planning systems with the highest performance has, in a short time, granted us international visibility. Now, with the Danfoss global sales network, we will be able to expand our market reach considerably."
Danfoss’ global sales organisation will handle the sale and distribution of Necos controls to the Asia Pacific region, North & South America and Russia, where the controls will be sold under the Danfoss label. Necos will continue to handle sales and distribution to the rest of the world.
