Today, Danfoss Solutions A/S has purchased all assets and rights associated with the Montage™ software system, previously developed and owned by Enviros Consulting Ltd. (ECL) in the UK. Danfoss Solutions sees the Montage™ software solution as a key component in its EnSave™ concept, which monitors and manages the use of utilities. The newly released V8 web-based platform is considered state-of-the-art in the area of computer aided Utility Management and meets the current needs of the market.
The acquisition strengthens Danfoss Solutions’ profile as an Energy Savings Company (ESCO) and enables Danfoss to provide Montage™ solutions to clients who want to save energy, but who may not need the complete EnSave™ package, or who are outside Danfoss Solutions’ present core markets.
The Montage™ tool enables the users to “Monitor & Target” their utility costs in a plant, by department, line or by “Energy Account Centers”. By carefully monitoring and targeting the usage, significant savings can be documented.
Danfoss Solutions will continue to invest in further development of the product, and has in this connection entered into a 5-year framework agreement with Athena IT Group A/S in Denmark, who will provide Danfoss with additional resources for ongoing development of the product.
Danfoss Solutions specializes in providing guaranteed saving solutions for major industrial utility consumers, such as the food and beverage sector. Last year, Danfoss Solutions Projects contributed savings equal to the total amount of energy used in 5000 domestic households.
