Danfoss A/S: Half-year report 2008

08 September 2008
"On the whole, despite the impact of the general setback on the markets, we managed to sustain our net sales and profit, with which we are very pleased. However, market conditions have caused us to adjust our expectations for the total 2008 result. Generally, we still expect to be able to improve the profit compared to last year, in spite of the market trends."

Jørgen M. Clausen, President and CEO, Danfoss A/S

Highlights from the first half-year of 2008 (excluding Sauer-Danfoss):

  • The profit before other income and expenses reached 693 million DKK, whereas the operating profit (EBIT) was 697 million DKK, which is largely level with the year before.
