Danfoss proves its value at Semicon Europa 2007
The New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre in Stuttgart, Germany, played host to the Semicon Europa 2007, the largest microelectronics and photovoltaic manufacturing event in Europe. The fair took place in mid-October and proved the ideal platform for Danfoss to display their latest products in this dynamic sector.
Over 800 companies displayed their manufacturing technologies for semiconductor devices, photovoltaic cells, and micro-electromechanical systems, as well as products for test, assembly and advanced packaging.
Danfoss’ technologically advanced vacuum products, including Vacuum Valves, Air Admit Valves and solutions for Vacuum Applications, generated a great deal of interest among visitors. The valves feature a compact and lightweight design, a very low energy consumption level and service-free operation. These features combined with the Danfoss Global presence make the valves ideal for customers anywhere in the world.
Valves and vacuum products are used in the production of a wide variety of products, from consumer electronics (plasma and LCD screens) to optical and magnetic storage devices (CDs, DVDs and hard discs) to decorative coatings on items such as doorknobs, mirrors and production facilities for solar cells.
Two Danfoss partners also had booths at Semicon and were exhibiting Danfoss vacuum valves.
Semicon Europa 2007 was a positive experience for Danfoss – an experience it intends to repeat next year when the fair revisits the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre.
This was the first time the fair was held in Stuttgart in the heart of Baden-Württemberg, one of the leading European regions with a highly innovative economy and an active research landscape. This was one of the reasons for building a super modern and spacious exhibition centre, close to the Stuttgart airport. The Semicon Fair was one of the first exhibitions to take place there – even before the official opening.
