ProfiNET MCA-120 option for FC 302

Danfoss has introduced the new ProfiNET MCA-120 option module for the VLT AutomationDrive FC 302.
This release expands the VLT AutomationDrive's ability to communicate on Ethernet, so that we today offer support for Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP and ProfiNET.

The ProfiNET option module as it is available now offers the following functionality:

  • Support for PPO type 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8
  • Fast ProfiNET communication; update speed down to 2 mSec on cyclic data
  • MCT 10 support via Ethernet
  • DCP support for easy setup of communication parameters via PLC's configuration tool (e.g. Siemens Step 7)
  • Onboard webpage with drive status, enabling access to drive information via a web interface (like Internet Explorer or Firefox)
  • Two ports support line structure and eliminate the need for expensive switches

For the time being, the ProfiNET MCA-120 option module is only available for the FC 302.

The new intelligent VLT® Soft Starter MCD 500

The Danfoss VLT Soft Starter MCD 500 is a new soft starter in the power range from 7.5 to 800 kW (21 - 1600 A) with sofisticated start- and stopfunctions. 

New in the MCD 500 is the Adaptive Acceleration Control (AAC) function. This function developed by Danfoss adds intelligence to the soft starter. By continuously measuring the motor current and calculating the actual load, the MCD 500 fully automatically adjusts the start and stop profiles to obtain the best possible acceleration and decelaration for your application
