IR Measurement Technology
The Danfoss IXA sensor system is based on infrared absorption spectroscopy. Electromagnetic radiation emitted by an IR source is absorbed by specific gasses at specific wavelengths. The resulting change of IR reaching the detector correlates to the gas concentration.
Our sensor outperforms traditional IR sensors in having no need for specific measurement chambers but performing measurement in free air. Furthermore, it is hermetically sealed and is therefore extremely rugged durable in any environment.
This is enabled through our patented measurement principle establishing an intrinsic correlation between reference and suspect in the measurement and through novel patented nano-optical materials.
Our sensor technology includes several patented principles, methods and solutions in optics, MEMS, nano technology, physics etc.
