Procurement

Since Danfoss is a global group with product development, manufacturing and sales on six continents, our purchasing organization is also global to support our earnings goals.

We have around 200 purchasers across 45 purchasing units worldwide. These purchasers strengthen the competitiveness of the Danfoss product divisions by entering into mutually beneficial purchasing agreements and initiating extensive and profitable supplier co-operation arrangements.

Global Coordination

Due to the high volume involved in global purchasing, we operate with specialized purchasers responsible for key products and materials.

Our Danfoss Procurement Committee comprises senior purchasing managers from the divisions and is chaired by an executive vice president. Because purchasing is critical to our business goals, it involves high-level commitment within the organization.

Group Procurement Teams are set up within casting, steel, non-ferrous, electronics, turned parts, pressed parts, plastic and packaging. Each team has a lead buyer who exclusively negotiates agreements with suppliers globally on behalf of the entire Danfoss Group.

Danfoss divisions do, however, handle some operations individually through 45 separate purchasing departments worldwide.

Contact

Danfoss is a global company that sells products and related services all over the world in an international network of sales companies, agents and distributors. The Group's production facilities are located at 53 factories in 21 countries, which complements our desire to be closer to our customers.

We are aware that globalisation is not about conquering the world, but becoming a natural part of the world. This is achieved by understanding and appreciating the cultures Danfoss operates in and at the same time seeking to make our own values understood. To the employees this means that Danfoss values local customs and cultures, while to the customer it means that Danfoss is present where needed - as local support, but also as a global player who can take on any challenge
