CO2 in Food Retail Applications

CO2 in Food Retail Applications

Danfoss Food Retail has developed solutions for CO2 based refrigeration systems which suits the needs both at the OEMs and the Contractors. The designs have allowed Danfoss to use standard off-the-shelve equipment ensuring that well proven equipment is installed in the plants. Today the most common plant type is Cascade Plants. Danfoss can also help customers with some solutions for trans-critical refrigeration installations.

CO2 Food Retail Application Handbook

Food Retail Application Handbook

The handbook gives an overview of typical CO2 system designs for both sub- and transcritical applications. Additionally, it can be used as a reference guide to Danfoss components for CO2. The target group for this handbook is engineers, who are new to CO2 systems. Application guidelines contain general application descriptions, controls, functions and recommendations of Danfoss controllers.
CO2 Transcritical CO2 System in a Small Supermarket

Transcritical CO2 System in a Small Supermarket

A transcritical CO2 booster system, using only standard components, can be highly reliable and more efficient than a comparable R404A system and a R410A/CO2 cascade system. This has been proven by in field tests now summarised in the article.
CO2 Gas Detection

Gas Detection Application Guide

CO2 is a non-toxic and non-flammable gas. However high concentrations of CO2 in working areas could be dangerous for people. This guide presents an overview of the existing legislation in this field, as well as gives an overview of Danfoss program of gas detectors.
CO2 DirCalc

DIRcalc Calculation Software

DIRcalc gives the possibility to select a number of Danfoss products for subcritical CO2 applications. DIRcalc selects calculate pressure drops, velocities and other important parameters necessary to make a qualified choice of components. Components could be calculated separately as well as in valve trains. Additionally to Danfoss components DIRcalc can calculate standard pipes, bends and fittings, both steel and copper. The use of this software is free.
