As the leader in the refrigeration industry, Danfoss is well regarded within the brewery industry because of our complete product range and advanced solutions. As the long-term partner with several brand-known brewery producers, including many sub-brands and facilities within the AB InBev Group, Danfoss developed a tailor-made workshop specifically for the Budweiser engineers, the content of which was relevant to their day-to-day work. The whole day’s workshop focused on each specific beer production process and associated refrigeration processes, techniques and solutions.
Beer production has a series of strict processes, including saccharification, fermentation, filling, etc., with which refrigeration is closely related because of the precise temperature control and system stabilization requirements. Danfoss is regularly chosen as the preferred supplier of refrigeration components and solutions for brewery projects. The three core industrial refrigeration topics of ‘liquid level control’, ‘temperature control’ and ‘pressure control’ were focused on in detail along with their application within the beer production refrigeration processes.
Included in the workshop were real life case experiences and the Danfoss experts summarised a series of topics with respect to service and maintenance training. These real life case experiences, analysis and operation diagnosis were well received by the participating engineers.
In recent years, the compact modular solution is becoming more popular in industrial refrigeration related fields and Danfoss has gained a lot application experiences after releasing several series of products. During the workshop, Danfoss focused on such products as the ICF Control Solution which has been installed in the southwest production base of the Budweiser brewery. It is estimated that over 170 ICF Control Solutions have been installed realising over a 50% cost saving on installation and 30% savings on maintenance during the whole project.
