Optimise the Energy Consumption of your Food Retail Refrigeration System with the New EEC Electronic Coil Controller

03 April 2012
The preferred component supplier for food retail refrigeration systems, Danfoss is constantly looking for new ways to optimise customers’ in-store refrigeration processes. With CO2 systems becoming more and more popular, the need for robust components that can cope with the high pressure required to run these systems is increasing. To help prolong the life of standard expansion devices in refrigerated food display cabinets, Danfoss designed the EEC Electronic Coil Controller. Coming to market in the second quarter of 2012, the connector is designed for long-term operating cost savings.

Long Lasting and Silent

The latest addition to Danfoss’ impressive portfolio for CO2 refrigeration systems, the EEC Electronic Coil Controller extends the life of the AKVH expansion valve. The EEC Electronic Coil Controller helps overcome high differential pressure in 230VAC systems using a 100VDC coil. By providing a short over-boost – the connector only supplies high power to the coil when it opens – the amount of energy needed to keep the valve open is reduced, which leads to energy savings.

Due to the advanced technology in the electronic of ramping up and down, the EEC Electronic Coil Controller ensures silent operation. Extensive testing has revealed longer valve lifetime thanks to significantly reduced wear and tear.
