There are no general standards on how to indicate the size of hermetic compressors. Previously, compressor sizes were indicated in hp, but this unit of measurement did not provide a clear definition of the refrigeration characteristics. Therefore, since the 1960s, we have used and continuously extended our "Key to Compressor Type Designation".
