Chapter 1. Save 52% energy with optimised control
Producers of glass door merchandisers and vending machines can instantly reduce the energy consumption of their products, using the cost-efficient ERC 102 cabinet control from Danfoss.

Sometimes you have to invest in order to save, but with the new, competitively priced ERC 102 cabinet control from Danfoss, the return on investment is faster than ever. Designed for easy ordering, fast implementation and low energy consumption, the control is packed with value adding advantages.

Full control of energy consumption

The controller works by regulating all energy consuming parts in the appliance. The easy to use interface enables individual setting of daylight saving mode, compressor operating times, canopy/cabinet lighting schedule, evaporator/condenser fan control and variable temperature control. In fact you can set more than 500 individual parameters, providing users with a powerful and versatile energy saving tool.

For example, fitting an ERC 102 to a standard one-door glass door merchandiser with a mechanical thermostat, fan and a 0.5 HP compressor will result in up to a 52% reduction in the cabinet's energy consumption. Extending the calculation to the seven year life expectancy of such a merchandiser, a saving of 4.5 KwH per day will result in a total energy reduction of approximately 11,500 kwH throughout its lifetime. Not only does the controller provide energy savings in the specific application, it is no power hog itself, using only 0.5 W of power. This is significantly below the power consumption of standard controls that typically use 5-10 W.
Chapter 2. Added value with external access to settings
Manufacturers can even provide their customers with added value by offering to configure the controller remotely and provide instant savings, using an external docking station.

Not only is the controller efficient in use, local sales service and support ensure fast response when help or advice is needed. Among other advantages is the fact that fewer code numbers need to be ordered compared to other solutions, and that the flexible design enables easy installation.
